Camlin Fine Sciences Limited (INE052101032) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary viz. Dresen Quimica SAPI De CV, Mexico (CFS Mexico) has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with shareholders of Vitafor Invest NV Belgium (Vitafor), whereby it has acquired the entire 100% stake at a value of Euro 1 (Euro One Only) on June 11, 2024.
This acquisition results in ownership of 100% stake in Vitafor Invest NV, Belgium and its underlying subsidiaries/ associates namely AddiTech NV (100%); Vitafor NV (100%); Vitafor China Ltd. (100%); Europe Bio Engineering BV (100%) and Vial Sàrl (45%). This strategic move signals CFS’s commitment to fortify its position and drive substantial growth in the animal nutrition sector.
This acquisition helps Camlin Fine Sciences (CFS) to integrate Vitafor’s assets and expertise by harmonising it into the Animal Nutrition business, strengthening CFS’s expertise in shelf-life enhancement, feed safety, and animal performance solutions. Vitafor’s specialty products in feed ingredients, nutritional products, hygiene products and disinfectants, will consolidate CFS’s portfolio across various animal segments. It enables CFS to swiftly penetrate new geographies by offering comprehensive solutions to customers by leveraging its established supply channels and robust distribution network.
CFS’s Animal Nutrition business has been expanding beyond antioxidants, with an established presence in products such as toxin binders, mold inhibitors, pellet binders, growth promoters, moisture optimization and feed sanitization programmes across poultry, swine, ruminants, aqua, and pet food segments. Experience of CFS in successful acquisition of CFS Mexico in 2016 then excellent growth of its operations enables efficient integration of Vitafor. Acquisition of CFS Mexico was a strategic move that strengthened CFS’s presence across Mexico, Central America, and the Andean States for animal nutrition segment and integration of Vitafor would certainly be the next strategic leap forward.
